The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics deals with the diagnosis and treatment of the irregular position, shape or size of teeth as well as the irregular relationship of the jaws. Often referred to as ​‘Smile Architects’, this field of dentistry focuses on bite corrections, alignment of teeth as well as maintenance of function, stability and aesthetics of dentition.

The Orthodontics Department at FDS is led by experienced academicians with several years of clinical expertise. In their role as faculty members, they mold the dental care workers of tomorrow with patience, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment. 

The program includes a comprehensive curriculum and a strong emphasis on learning by observation. Students are encouraged to become active learners and to participate in workshops, symposia, and seminars to learn from experts and their peers.
