The Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately diagnose diseases and disorders of the oral cavity. 

Students learn about dental anatomy, embryology, oral histology, pathology, microbiology and forensic odontology. They are taught to conduct investigations, and to examine cells, tissue, and blood samples for abnormalities. In particular, they are familiarized with histopathology, cytopathology, immunohistochemistry, and photomicrography. 

Led by a team of experts, the department focuses its efforts on academics, research, and investigative procedures.
